MAMA KALANGALA DEAD

Kalangala district woman member of Parliament (MP) Hon Hellen Nakimuli died after an unsuccessful surgery on Sunday 19/04/26. Popularly known as ‘Mama Kalangala’, Hon Nakimuli was the sitting MP for the region and had also reclaimed the seat in the previous elections awaiting swearing in a month’s time.

Known for her kindness, patriotism and putting service first, the nation surely lost one of the good ones.  Details surrounding the surgery and the exact cause of death are not yet fully available, but reports indicate that she died at Alexandra Medical Center.

The MP’s death was confirmed by her party’s president Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu through various social media platforms.

The official send-off program has been released by the Leader of Opposition and NUP spokesperson, Hon. Joel Ssenyonyi on his social media plaforms.
